⭐we’re so happy with our beautiful home💕 Valon and London Dream Lofts completed a ground floor side infill, loft conversion, and first floor extension, and we are super happy with the outcome. From start to finish, the team was reliable, efficient, and extremely hard-working. I have never experienced a service like this before with other traders. The standard of workmanship was excellent, particularly the carpentry and painting, which was finished to a very high level of detail and quality. Valon’s team worked quickly without ever compromising on standards, and it was clear they took real pride in their work. Valon also goes above and beyond, helping us with picking up materials, install furnishings to ensuring we got good service/value for third party contracted works. For that we are deeply grateful to Valon. Communication was straightforward and professional throughout the project, and any issues were dealt with promptly. The site was kept well organised, and progress was consistently strong. Timelines wise for the bulk of the entire works it took from Easter to October. I would highly recommend Valon and London Dream Lofts to anyone looking for skilled builders who work fast, work hard, and deliver excellent results.

Endrit, Valon and their team provided a great reliable service. We went with them after recommendation from a neighbour and a competitive quote. They completed a loft and rear extension for us under a time constraint and were quick and efficient. They checked in regularly onsite and were always available to deal with any issues. Endrit’s responsiveness and communication meant alot to us and made us feel supported throughout the process. The rest of the team were also skilled and professional. Overall we are very happy with their work and the final outcome.

We had London Dreams Loft renovate our small under stairs toilet and do some exterior work on our home — and the experience was fantastic. After a letdown with previous builders, Valon and his team were a complete game changer. Everything was done quickly, smoothly, and to a high standard. No surprises, great communication, and they even left the place spotless afterward. Highly recommend them for quality work!

We had numerous builders over to provide quotes and we are very thankful we chose to work with London Dream Lofts for our extension. Endrit and his team worked incredibly fast, within set budget and to a very high standard. Our rear single storey 3m extension and renovation only took 3 months to complete and Endrit organised everything for us. Demolition, clearing, build and renovation. We were particularly impressed with the carpenter they used for our kitchen and flooring install! Very pleased with the finished work.

Loft Conversion Types

For various home designs, we have enlisted all the stunning loft conversions that London Dream Lofts carries out.

Rooflight Conversion

A rooflight conversion, also known as a Velux loft conversion, is one of the most cost-effective and least disruptive types of loft conversions available. By simply installing roof windows to let in natural light, this option retains the original structure of your home, making it ideal for properties where preserving the architectural footprint is important. In many cases, planning permission is not required, making the process quicker and more straightforward. While it may not offer the same space expansion as other types of conversions, a rooflight loft conversion is perfect for adding light, value, and functionality to your home at a lower cost.

Full Width Dormer Conversion

A full width dormer extends vertically from the entire length of your property’s roof, creating a large, box-shaped addition to the rear or side of your home. This design dramatically increases headroom and floor space, making it ideal for homeowners who want to maximise their loft’s potential.

This type of loft conversion allows for features such as:

Juliet balconies, French doors, and large windows to flood the space with natural light and offer stunning views of your neighbourhood

A layout that supports a luxurious master bedroom with an en-suite, or even a home cinema, family entertainment room, or dedicated office space

Most of the construction work is completed from external scaffolding, which means minimal disruption to your daily life compared to other loft conversion types.

L-shaped Dormer

Constructed by two conjoining dormer builds, the L-shaped dormer conversions are stretched out across a main roof and the rear roof. Often designed for Edwardian or Victorian inspired property, the L-shaped dormer can be built for various homes depending on the architectural design of the property. With much larger space to work with, one is able to use the space to build two bedrooms for growing families, a beautiful living room or a study and playroom for the children.

Single Dormer

Often the most popular loft conversion in the UK particularly on traditional property
• The single dormer conversion allows for a little more space
• Although not a significant amount of space, the single dormer conversion is great for letting in a lot more light into the loft
• And eliminating the feeling of a cramped attic
• Without changing the original aesthetic of the property, the conversion is certainly the cheapest of loft conversions
• And can be built on the wide side of the roof or on the side as found on homes with gable roofs

Hip-To-Gable

Common in 1930s to 1960s semi-detached properties of the Victorian era, a Hip-To-Gable loft conversion is generally constructed as a detached bungalow and terrace or a semi-detached end to the property. The conversion extends the roof slopes, turning them into gable walls creating a considerable amount of headspace to a loft.

Mansard Loft Conversion

A mansard loft conversion reaches the top of the roof
• Achieving maximum loft space and a lot more headroom unlike the rooflight loft conversion
• This conversion requires that the roof’s slope is more or less 72 degrees and in fulfilling this loft conversion
• One may incur premium costs as one side of the roof would be removed
• The design of the mansard conversion however certifies to add character to your home without any additional boxed dormer to the roof of the property
• Achieving a stunning design and finish to a home, London Dream Lofts is able to install custom French doors or Velux windows to homes with the mansard loft conversion
